Apprenticeships are training programs which combine both work and study.
Typically lasting 12 months or longer, these courses help provide a learner with valuable knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a specific job role – all whilst they work within that role picking up valuable work experiences.
There isn’t a great deal of eligibility criteria for apprenticeships, but they can vary depending on the course.
The main criteria for eligibility is the learner must be at least 16 years of age, and be supported/put through by an employer, with someone available within the workplace to act as their mentor.
