At Ultima HGV Driver Training we are passionate about helping people to get real qualifications then real on the job experience, opening up their career to the open road ahead of them.

Ultima HGV Driver Training aim to help people fully realize their career dreams as a HGV driver, one step at a time. We can now do this by also offering real on the job experience to our newly qualified drivers to get them on the road straight away.

One of the unique services that Ultima HGV Driver Training do, that most of our competitors don’t, is that we've launched a new logistics service to give newly qualified drivers the hands on experience of a real job. This division of our business has been set up to be able to provide work experience that is paid for and extremely valuable for adding to your CV and securing your next role.

Our fleet of HGV’s range from 7.5 tonne to articulated lorries and provide the opportunity for any of our newly qualified drivers to apply for one of our logistics jobs, immediately after qualification. Dealing with both chilled and dry goods on both a regional and national basis, the experience is hands on and very valuable indeed. Our logistics jobs are specifically targeted at people who have done their training with us but don’t have their first HGV driving job lined up. 

We've linked with an insurance company to be able to provide insurance for new drivers too, which can sometimes be 

an issue preventing HGV drivers from entering the work force. We are committed to removing obstacles in the road for newly qualified drivers so you can trust Ultima to help you all the way.

There is a currently a shortage of HGV drivers in the UK with approximately 50 leaving the profession every day. This provides a great opportunity for people who want to become qualified HGV drivers because the demand for these roles are very high. Companies increasingly demand experience though, which is where Ultima HGV Driver Training can fill the gap.
